We are testing a variety of combinations of ads and video content and want to create a site to facilitate a large possibility of ads, content and UX across multiple languages, while maintaining a consistent page template. We are looking for an experienced web designer familiar with HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and Flowplayer to create a simple 2-part web page. Ideally familiar with Visual Studio using Git for source control.
The home page will consist of same basic style elements that looks clean on PC and Mobile. No links or options are interactive, they are there for a mock-up only. The content to display is specified by variables in the URL string from a list of options that are queried from our MySQL DB. The user picks one piece of content and is directed to a content page that shows the video along with a description, comments, and other suggested content. However, the only functionality is the video itself works, the rest of the shell is visual only.
Flowplayer will be used to play the main selected content, but also use the capabilities for playlists to control "preroll" ads (that appear before the content begins), "midroll" ads (that interrupt the content) at times we control, as well as having a controlled skip function.
Video playback and ad insertion is to be done with our commercial license of Flowplayer. Certain viewability and playback actions should be tracked: click to play, audio changes, % of the video in view (if not full screen), and what is on-screen at the time (can change for ads), etc.
Included is a mockup site that visually explains the requirements as well as a wireframe for the landing page and content page using YouTube as an example.
Database development will be minimal, but will be a collaborative effort to identify the best method and implementation. The main DB structure consists of a few simple tables, consisting of parameters describing the video content, the ads, and storing the tracking data.
We are seeking an experienced designer not only to complete the project quickly, but to help us think of future uses of our designed test page and to code in a way to make future development easier should the need arise. Based on previous development work we believe a skilled developer can complete the project in two weeks and would like project completion by 9/8.
