Neat - straightforward database application. First thing to do is design your database; you can do that just by sketching out the different objects that installcity.com lets you search on. Putting up pages based on that is old hat - installcity.com is written in PHP, which is definitely your mainstream choice. Any decent Web programmer ought to be able to knock out a clone in a day or two. $100 sounds pretty low, though.

I'm not looking for a clone, but It has some of the funcionality that I want.

I hate to burst your bubble, but 100-300 is a bit on the low-end. I'd estimate a solid 35-40 hours of development time + testing. Another 10-15 for meetings with you, and probably a flat fee of $2,000 for a solid design from a partner firm.

Rough numbers would be 45-55 hours at $100/hr, an additional $2,000 for design, no taxes, since you're outside of Canada. You'd be looking at $6,500 - $7,500 for a site like this.
